3 Top tips to having a healthy Summer BBQ with exclusive GSN Recipes

Worried you’ll fall off of your health goals during BBQ season?

Are you trying to maintain a healthy diet but want to jump into the summer with a BBQ? Barbecues often tempt us to consume foods that are hard to digest and difficult to burn off.

Here are a few tasty & health-friendly tips to have the perfect BBQ, without throwing off your health game:

White Meats – Bursting with protein and nutrients, white meats such as chicken are great to throw on the barbecue! Skinless chicken breasts provide a delicious source of protein, B6, Potassium and more…

Marinades – Keep your grilled meats juicy by using homemade marinades! Replace sugary shop bought marinades with your own version. It’s simple to add your own healthy flavours, using herbs such as thyme, rosemary & garlic to cut down on carcinogens.

Vegetables – Grilling veg on the BBQ is not only healthy but delicious! Naturally high in nutrients and low in calories, veg provides a great balance to any meal, especially due to the fact that grilling helps to preserve the highest amount of nutrients. Kebabs that use both veg and meat are a great way to increase your veg intake with ease!

You can add our ready-cooked chicken to your BBQ recipes for a quick & healthy alternative! We have put together 3 easy recipes using our chicken to ensure you have good company & even better food this season.
