Self-care is becoming an increasingly popular term describing a rare treat such as having a chocolate bar, or buying a piece of clothing. However, self-care is officially defined as doing something that nourishes your body & mind on a regular basis – so what better than nourishing your full physical being with a nutritious meal?
We’ve put together this easy Chicken Ramen to get you started on your self-care challenge…
Step 1 –
Remove your GSN Chicken breasts from the freezer and defrost overnight, or place in a bowl with x1tbsp of water & defrost in the microwave.
Step 2 –
Chop the chilli’s, peppers and spring onions. Peel & half the carrots (lengthways)
Top tip:
having peeled and halved (longways) we pulled a potato peeler along the carrots to create our ‘carrot ribbons’ which are then thin enough to lightly cook through in the soup whilst keeping their crunch
Step 3 –
Mix the garlic, ginger, chilli, peppers, spring onions, broccoli and carrots into the chicken stock in a stockpot or large saucepan. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 4 –
Slice your cooked chicken breast and fry in 2 tsp sesame oil until just starting to brown, then set aside.
Step 5 –
Cook the ramen noodles following the pack instructions, then drain and set aside.
Step 6 –
Divide the noodles between x2 bowls, and place meat on top. Divide the stock between the bowls and top with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
